- Take up hobbies you like. If you end up friends with someone, or dating, you’ll have something good in common.
- Be honest about what you are looking for in friends and for dating. If you are about to pursue a friendship with someone you know is not right for you, why waste time?
- Be specific about what you want. If you cast a wide new as you look to meet men or women, you’ll probably pull in a pretty wide net. That means you’ll have to do a lot of sorting out who you want to get to know better. If you don’t cast as wide a net, you’ll waste less time on people who don’t fit what you’re looking for.
- Be open to new possibilities when you meet people. Not everyone does fit every parameter we set, right away. It may take a bit of time to see if someone has quite a few things we look for and other things we didn’t even know we wanted.
- Get out there and do it. As much as reading online and books is good, finally getting out there is important.
